Fort Walton Beach families invited to sign up children for Fort Walton Beach youth baseball league

Fort Walton Beach, Florida – Families in Fort Walton Beach are getting ready for another season on the diamond as registration opens for the city’s upcoming youth baseball program. Local officials are inviting children from across the community to sign up and take part in a season designed to bring young players together for teamwork, learning, and plenty of time on the field.

The City of Fort Walton Beach has announced that registration for its youth baseball league is now underway and will remain open through March 27, 2026. The program welcomes boys and girls of varying experience levels, giving both beginners and more seasoned players an opportunity to participate in organized baseball.

Several divisions are available so players can compete with others in their own age group. Tee-Ball is offered for children ages 5 and 6, providing the youngest athletes with an introduction to the basics of the game. The Coach Pitch division is open to players ages 7 and 8, while the Minors division includes participants ages 9 and 10. The oldest group, Majors, is designed for players ages 11 and 12.

The season is scheduled to begin in mid-April. Practices are expected to start on April 13, giving teams time to prepare before games begin. The season will continue through the middle of June, offering several weeks of practices and matchups where players can develop their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the camaraderie that youth sports often create.

Families can complete registration in different ways depending on whether they have previously participated in city programs. Returning players who already have accounts through the city’s RecDesk system may register online. New participants, or those who have not registered with the city before, will need to complete their registration in person and provide documentation confirming both age and address.

Participation fees vary depending on residency. Children who live within Fort Walton Beach city limits can register for $30, while the fee for non-residents is $50.

The city is also encouraging members of the community to get involved beyond the player level. Volunteers interested in coaching youth teams, as well as businesses or individuals who would like to sponsor a team, are invited to participate in helping make the season possible.
