Young dancers invited to late-April audition for elite ballet-academic program in Okaloosa County schools

Okaloosa County, Florida – In cooperation with the Okaloosa County School District, the Northwest Florida Ballet Académie is excited to announce auditions for the 2025-2026 school year. Aiming at students from third to eighth grade, this prestigious, tuition-free program uniquely combines demanding academics with professional dance training.

Scheduled auditions for the next academic year will be run by appointment only. Third graders will audition on April 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on April 27 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fourth graders are welcome to try out on April 26 between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Interested parties must register online by the deadline of April 24 at 2:00 p.m.

Emphasizing both academic and ballet training, the program offers a supportive atmosphere for students who demonstrate love and potential for dance. The Académie hopes to develop not just the artistic abilities but also the intellectual development of its students by including daily dance classes into a strong academic program.
