City of Fort Walton Beach calls for volunteers to assist seniors and disabled residents with yard maintenance on Nov. 15-16

Fort Walton Beach, Florida – Fort Walton Beach is once more turning the enthusiasm of the community into action. The city is throwing a special “Yardwork Party” to help people who are having trouble keeping their yards up as part of its ongoing “Cleanest City on the Emerald Coast” campaign. The event, which is run by volunteers, will take place over the weekend of November 15–16.

It’s a simple but powerful idea: neighbors assisting each other. City officials are getting in touch with people who live in Fort Walton Beach and may have trouble keeping up with routine yard work. People who are older, disabled, or don’t have enough money can ask for help through the program.

The city is asking for volunteers who are willing to help with the project and bring their own tools. People who sign up will help with basic outside activities like mowing lawns, pruning bushes, raking leaves, and more. Because the city cannot use municipal equipment or staff for this event, volunteers play a crucial role in making the cleanup possible.

Devon Ravine, the Public Information Officer in charge of the event, wants people and local landscaping companies to get involved. The city’s is looking for people who are willing to come out, bring their tools, and help their fellow residents make Fort Walton Beach shine.

By blending civic pride with volunteer effort, the “Yardwork Party” continues Fort Walton Beach’s tradition of working together to keep the community clean, beautiful, and connected.
