Big Truck Day rolls back into Destin with a close-up look at the machines behind city life on July 31
Destin, Florida – Destin’s biggest community workers are preparing to take center stage, and they will need more than a standard parking space.
For two hours this summer, the Destin Community Center’s parking lot will become a gathering place for the large and unusual trucks that help keep the community moving.
The City of Destin has announced the return of its annual Big Truck Day, a free event that gives residents and visitors an opportunity to see some of the unique vehicles working throughout the local area. The event will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026.
Big Truck Day has become a fan favorite on Destin’s community calendar, offering people of all ages a closer look at vehicles that are often seen working from a distance. Instead of passing them on the road or watching them operate around the city, attendees will be able to gather in one location and see the trucks up close.
The event will be held in the parking lot of the Destin Community Center. Admission is free, and no age restrictions have been announced, making it an outing open to children, families and anyone interested in the machines that serve the community.
The short, two-hour schedule also makes the event an easy addition to a Friday morning. Visitors can arrive anytime between 9 and 11 a.m. to explore the collection of trucks on display.
