Okaloosa School Board member Tim Bryant recognized with Advanced Certified Board Member award
Okaloosa County, Florida – Tim Bryant, a member of the Okaloosa County School Board, has reached a new level in his career after receiving an advanced leadership award from the Florida School Boards Association. The award shows that he continues to be committed to improving school governance through continual education and training.
Bryant received the Advanced Certified Board Member title, which is given only to board members who earn 30 professional development points in a single year. The achievement shows that the person worked hard for a long time, going above and beyond what was expected. It builds on the association’s Certified Board Member program, which takes a lot of training in leadership, ethics, advocacy, and strategic decision-making.

The Florida School Boards Association says that the advanced designation is meant to honor school board members who are actively working to improve their abilities and learn more so they may better serve children and communities. Bryant’s completion of the requirements shows that he has consistently been focused on learning and growing since he was first elected to the board in 2016.
FSBA officials complimented Bryant’s commitment and said that his approach to public service has always been focused on making things better and being accountable. Officials stressed that getting the advanced credential means more than just fulfilling a standard; it also means a long-term commitment to good governance and competent leadership.

Okaloosa County School District Superintendent Marcus Chambers also underscored the importance of professional development at the board level.
“Effective governance begins with a commitment to learning, and Tim Bryant exemplifies that commitment,” said Superintendent Chambers.
“His dedication to professional development strengthens our board’s decision-making and ultimately supports student success across Okaloosa County. We are fortunate to have leaders who continuously invest in improving themselves in service to our schools and community,” Chambers added.
The Florida School Boards Association runs leadership seminars to help school board members all around the state deal with difficult problems in education and advocate to improve public schools. Bryant’s award shows how dedicated he is, as well as how important it is to the Okaloosa County School Board to keep high standards in public service and government.
