Longtime HVAC business in Fort Walton Beach gets community boost through facade improvement funding

Fort Walton Beach, Florida – The City of Fort Walton Beach’s Community Redevelopment Agency has given Emerald Air Heating and Air Conditioning a $7,816 grant. This is another step forward for the company and the community as a whole. The CRA Façade Grant program provides this money to help local businesses enhance their properties, which will help the region continue to improve.
The owners of Emerald Air, a company that has called 116 Beal Parkway home for 34 years, put the grant to good use by repaving and upgrading their parking lot.
These changes don’t just make the property seem better; they also make it safer and easier for consumers and employees to get to. Emerald Air has 16 staff who provide heating and conditioning services to homes and small businesses in Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Walton counties.
The Fort Walton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is working on a bigger project that includes this kind of help. The CRA was set up in 1977 to get rid of blight and encourage growth by getting people to invest in property in the designated zone.
The agency has a lot of different initiatives, such as grants that can help with everything from fixing up the outside of a building to getting rid of asbestos to paying for some construction permit fees.

This new grant is more than just money for Emerald Air; it’s a reminder that the community cares about local businesses. The CRA’s involvement with upgrades keeps the region a friendly location for both business owners and residents. The agency’s ongoing work shows how important long-term relationships and community-driven regeneration are.
