Destin’s Parks and Recreation hosts art-filled Saturdays with music, refreshments, and community vibes

Destin, Florida – The City of Destin’s Parks and Recreation Department is bringing back its popular “Paint at the Park” series. This creative outdoor activity at Captain Royal Melvin Heritage Park is open to people of all ages and encourages them to pick up a brush and let their creativity run wild.
The next classes will be on three Saturdays: August 16, September 6, and October 11, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Every session is an opportunity to relax, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and let your artistic side out in a calm setting. The classes are meant to be open to everyone, from people who have never painted before to others who have been doing it for years.
The sessions will take place outside in one of Destin’s most beautiful parks. Participants will be able to enjoy food and drinks while they work on their projects. Paint in the Park is a fun way to spend a Saturday morning, whether you’re going alone, with your family, or with friends.

Destin locals pay $30 to take part, while non-residents pay $35. There isn’t much space, so it’s highly recommended to sign up early to make sure you get a spot in the class. People who want more information or want to sign up should call 850-654-5184.
