Destin invites beginners and experienced players to join fall soccer season, registrations open July 31
Destin, Florida – Friday nights at Morgan Sports Center will soon belong to Destin’s youngest soccer players, from preschoolers learning to chase the ball to older children ready for more organized competition.
The City of Destin is preparing for its Youth Fall Soccer League, offering local families an affordable way to keep children active, build teamwork and spend evenings on the field as the summer season gives way to fall.
Registration will be open from July 31 through August 14 for children ages 3 to 13. Eligibility will be based on each child’s age as of September 1, 2026, allowing the city to organize participants into appropriate age groups before practices and games begin.
The registration fee is $30 for children who live within Destin and $50 for non-residents. A birth certificate must be provided during registration unless the document is already on file with the city.

Families can complete the process online through the city’s recreation registration portal at www.cityofdestin.com/reconline.
City officials are encouraging parents to register early because space in the league is limited. Once available places are filled, additional registrations may not be accepted.
All games are scheduled to take place on Friday nights at Morgan Sports Center, weather permitting. The evening schedule gives families a regular end-of-week activity while keeping weekends open for other plans.

The league is also looking for adults and local organizations willing to help make the season possible. Volunteer coaches are needed to guide teams, organize players and support children as they learn the game. Team sponsors are also being sought.
The program is open to both experienced young players and children who may be stepping onto a soccer field for the first time. At the younger ages, the league offers an introduction to movement, teamwork and basic soccer skills. Older participants will have the opportunity to develop their abilities in a structured team setting.
