City of Fort Walton Beach joins Keep Okaloosa Beautiful for one hour downtown litter sweep this weekend

Fort Walton Beach, Florida – Volunteers in Fort Walton Beach will gather early Saturday morning for a one-hour roadside cleanup aimed at keeping the city’s streets clear and inviting. The effort, organized by the City in partnership with Keep Okaloosa Beautiful, is part of the nationwide Keep America Beautiful Greatest American Cleanup campaign.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Organizers have chosen First Street in downtown Fort Walton Beach as the focus area, specifically the stretch running from St. Mary Avenue east to Eglin Parkway. By concentrating on this corridor, volunteers will target a visible and well-traveled part of the city.
