Fort Walton Beach Tennis Center reopens courts with free community event on April 11

Fort Walton Beach, Florida – Freshly renewed courts are set to take center stage in Fort Walton Beach as the local tennis facility prepares to welcome the community for a special morning of activity and celebration. Following recent resurfacing work, the Fort Walton Beach Tennis Center is opening its gates on Saturday, April 11, for a free event designed to bring players of all skill levels together.

From 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the courts will come alive with a mix of organized play and relaxed, drop-in activities. The event invites both experienced athletes and first-time participants to step onto the newly updated surfaces, offering a chance to experience the improvements firsthand. While the atmosphere will be casual and welcoming, the schedule is structured to ensure there’s something engaging for everyone.

Adults can take part in friendly matches, skill-building drills, and interactive games, creating an easygoing environment that blends recreation with a touch of competition. Younger players are not left out, as junior-focused sessions will feature fun, age-appropriate tennis games aimed at keeping kids active and entertained while introducing them to the sport.

The Fort Walton Beach Tennis Center, located at 45 W Audrey Drive NW, operates under the management of USTA Florida in partnership with the City of Fort Walton Beach. The facility maintains a steady schedule throughout the week, with court access available in morning and evening blocks on weekdays, and extended hours on weekends until dusk.

As the community gathers to mark this upgrade, the event offers more than just a chance to play—it reflects a renewed investment in local recreation, inviting residents to reconnect with the courts and each other in a lively, inclusive setting.
