Destin brings back Paint in the Park series with three waterfront sessions this spring
Destin, Florida – This spring, the City of Destin’s Parks and Recreation Department will bring back its outdoor painting series. This will give locals and visitors a chance to relax , pick up a brush, and enjoy the natural beauty of a local waterfront park.
Paint in the Park is the name of the activity. It will take place on three Saturdays: February 21, March 28, and April 18. Each session will last from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Anyone of any age can take part in classes at Captain Royal Melvin Heritage Park, located on Harbor Boulevard. Families are allowed to join together, so the event is good for both individuals and groups who want to be creative together.

If the weather is nice, each session will be held outside, where participants can paint in a calm, open-air setting. You will get lessons and materials, as well as light snacks and drinks during the class. The organizers say that the focus is on having fun and being creative rather than skill level, so beginners and people who have painted before are welcome to take part.
You have to sign up ahead of time because there is only room for 20 people in each session. It costs $30 for people who live in Destin and $35 for people who don’t. Registration for the sessions has already started so joining early can guarantee you a spot.
Paint in the Park is one of the city’s many activities that aim to get people involved in their neighborhood via arts and recreation. By combining instruction with a scenic location, the program aims to provide a low-pressure environment where participants can explore their creativity while enjoying time outdoors.
People who want to go can sign up ahead of time online through the city’s recreation portal or get further information by calling Destin Parks and Recreation.
