Okaloosa County residents invited to join Lincoln Park cleanup event organized by Ocean Hour Okaloosa this Saturday

Okaloosa County, Florida – Thanks to Ocean Hour Okaloosa, a local environmental nonprofit committed to maintaining the beauty and health of nearby beaches and rivers, Lincoln Park is scheduled to host a community cleanup event this Saturday, September 14. From 8 to 9 a.m., the event invites locals to join forces for one hour to improve their surroundings.

Lincoln Park, at 1217 N Bayshore Drive, will become the hub of community efforts to battle pollution and environmental degradation, a recurrent issue along coastlines that calls constant attention. Operating under the nonprofit Ocean Hour Inc., Ocean Hour Okaloosa organizes weekly Saturday clean-ups in an effort to encourage local environmental responsibility.

All required tools—buckets, grabbers, gloves, garbage bags—will be supplied by the company during the cleanup. For their own convenience, participants are only asked to carry water and sunscreen and wear closed-toe shoes for safety. This simply available arrangement guarantees that everyone, regardless of their background with clean-ups, may contribute quickly and efficiently.

The cleanup project offers volunteers a chance to interact with their environment and community, therefore fostering better, cleaner, and more sustainable local surroundings rather than only garbage collection. However, the event is subject to cancellation in the event of rain or thunderstorms, as the safety of all participants is a priority.
