Dramatic rescue at Destin beach saves 11-month-old found unresponsive in the water
Destin, Florida – In a dramatic rescue at Destin’s Norriego Point Public Beach Access, an 11-month-old child was saved after being found unresponsive in the water on Friday, July 19, 2024. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office reported the timely intervention that likely saved the infant’s life.

Reacting quickly, the family member together with a bystander started CPR on the infant until Coast Guard officials showed up.
