Free Friday concerts return to The Landing with eight weeks of live music in Fort Walton Beach

Fort Walton Beach, Florida – Friday nights in downtown Fort Walton Beach are about to get a little louder. For eight straight weeks this fall, the waterfront at The Landing will trade quiet evenings for live guitars, country music, funk, blues and familiar rock favorites.

And there is no ticket required. The Concerts at The Landing series returns Sept. 4, bringing free live music to the newly renovated Fort Walton Beach Landing park through Oct. 23.

The City of Fort Walton Beach is presenting the Fall 2026 series in partnership with Dan Collins Entertainment and 102.1 The Wave. Each concert will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday nights at the park, located at 139 Brooks Street SE.

Organizers are encouraging visitors to bring lawn chairs or quilts and settle in for an evening along the downtown waterfront. Across the eight-week schedule, the lineup moves through several styles rather than sticking to a single genre.

The season begins Sept. 4 with Heart of Glass & Subliminal Doubt, featuring tribute performances centered on the music of Blondie and No Doubt. On Sept. 11, Sons of Saints will bring a rock-and-roll variety set to the park.

The following week shifts toward alternative and indie sounds when Saucy FuzZ performs its blend of funk and rock on Sept. 18. Black Eyed Blonde closes out the September portion of the schedule on Sept. 25 with another rock variety performance.

October brings a noticeable turn toward country, Southern rock and blues. Below Alabama is scheduled for Oct. 2, followed by Cat Rhodes & The Truth on Oct. 9 with a mix of blues, funk and neo soul.

The Chase Mitchell Band takes the stage Oct. 16 with country and Southern rock before Rockstarfish closes the Fall 2026 series on Oct. 23 with a party rock variety show.

With eight different Friday-night performances packed into less than two months, the series gives residents and visitors multiple chances to experience live music in one of Fort Walton Beach’s downtown public spaces.

The format remains simple: show up, find a spot near the waterfront and enjoy the music. From tribute bands on opening night to party rock at the finale, this fall’s schedule is designed to keep The Landing busy well after summer begins to fade.
