Okaloosa County, Florida – An evening of history, pageantry and patriotic celebration is set to unfold this summer on the Emerald Coast as organizers prepare for the 250th Birthday of America Gala & Drone Show on June 12, 2026. The event will take place from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Rigdon Center, formerly known as the NWF Fairgrounds, at 1958 Lewis Turner Blvd.

Planned as a tribute to the nation’s 250th birthday, the gathering will invite guests into a setting that blends the atmosphere of the colonial era with a modern tribute to American independence. Attendees are encouraged to wear semi-formal or Colonial attire, adding to an evening designed to reflect both tradition and ceremony.

The celebration will center on a gala dinner and colonial-style feast honoring 250 years of freedom. Organizers say the program will also feature a special 1776 reenactment, offering guests a theatrical step back into the founding moment that shaped the nation. The goal is to create an experience that feels both reflective and festive, rooted in the ideals of liberty, unity and determination.
