Okaloosa County schools set new breakfast and lunch prices for 2025–2026 school year, applications open July 9

Okaloosa County, Florida – The Okaloosa County School District has released the new rates for breakfast and lunch for the 2025–2026 school year. This will let students and staff know how much they will have to pay starting this fall.

District officials say that breakfast for students will cost $2.00 and lunch for students will cost $3.00. Families who fulfill certain conditions can apply for meals at a lower price. For example, breakfast costs $0.30 and lunch costs $0.40 for eligible students. Breakfast for adults will cost $3.00 and lunch will cost $5.00.

The district also made it clear that the application period for Free and Reduced-Price Meals will begin on July 9, 2025. Families of all income levels are encouraged to apply, since the rules for who can get help may vary from year to year. Families that got meal benefits during the 2024–25 school year will have to apply again to keep getting cheap meals next year.

District officials said that the reapplication process is necessary to make sure that all eligible students keep getting help without any breaks. The Free and Reduced-Price Meal Program is very important for helping families keep track of their daily food costs and making sure that students have access to healthy meals every day at school.
