New York food writer Ed Levine has been called “the missionary of the delicious,” and the title fits. His tastes are broad, from fast food burgers to pizza and obscure ethnic delicacies to cutting-edge gastronomy. His online blog/forum “Serious Eats” was a pacesetter, and Serious Eater is the chronicle of its rise (and near fall), and Levine’s efforts to secure investors and an eventual buyer.
