Pet of the Issue — Lili

Stacie and Mark Hoard write:

Lili is a Red Boston Terrier who turned two this month. We adopted her from a family in Andalusia, Alabama, who had both the mother and father as their pets.

Lili came from a litter of eight puppies—five girls and three boys. We picked her up in Andalusia on a Sunday and she came to work at DeFrance Antiques in Fort Walton Beach on Monday morning. She comes to work with us every day unless we are having a large event at the store.

She has vendors and customers who come to visit with her each day. While she has an area dedicated to her behind the register area, we take her on walks around both the inside and outside of the store each day.

Lili loves children and gets very excited when they come in the store. Be careful, because she can jump about four and a half feet straight up from a standing position! While she doesn’t make a habit of it and we try to discourage it, she can actually jump on and over the front counter.

Lili is playful, feisty and loyal, and loves to snuggle. While Boston Terriers are usually very quiet dogs, Lili is very vocal when she is trying to get your attention.
