Jazz Pensacola celebrates the 37th Annual Pensacola JazzFest with a stellar lineup of musicians and vocalists. Drawing thousands of jazz lovers to its premier event each year, Jazz Pensacola promises a spectacular weekend. The two-day festival features national, regional/local, middle/high school, college and university jazz bands.

National headliners include saxophonist Larry Panella, pianist Tony Viviano, and saxophonist Doug Horn.

Mr. Panella is the Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Southern Mississippi. He has performed with the Phil Collins Big Band, the Woody Herman Orchestra, and Natalie Cole.

Mr. Viviano is renowned in the Michigan jazz scene and has performed around the world. He has opened for the John Pizzarelli Trio, Chick Corea, Herbie Mann and Arturo Sandoval. His original compositions can be experienced on albums like Lydianosis and My Pal Al.

Mr. Horn hails from the Ann Arbor, Michigan, area. He also plays flute and covers a wide range of styles—bebop, ballads, Latin, swing, you name it. High Standards, his most recent CD with the Doug Horn Trio, is available at CDBaby.com.

Regional and local headliners include trumpeter Jonathan Martin, The Glenn Parker Band, pianist Alex Nollan, La’Roy Bodiford Quartet, Chip Herrington Quintet, Excelsior Brass Band, Isabelle Schrack Band, Nobius, Fais Do-Do, and Jack Zoesch Quartet.

Children can also join the weekend of jazzy acts with a Kiddies Jam of kazoos and harmonicas at 2 PM Saturday and Sunday with Mike Potters.

As always, JazzFest is a FREE celebration of America’s unique musical art form. The event is produced with assistance from a variety of corporate sponsors and community organizations.

Jazz Pensacola volunteers work yearlong to present Pensacola JazzFest as their gift to the community.

In addition to the sound of jazz, JazzFest posters, t-shirts, memorabilia, fine arts and crafts exhibitors, and food and drinks vendors make the festival even greater. All merchandise sales help support the festival and keep it FREE for loyal fans.
