THE MAIN EVENT
The Village of Baytowne Wharf, Starting at Noon
Sample a variety of gumbo and vote your favorite as the People’s Choice winner. Dark or light roux? Chicken, sausage or seafood? Celebrity judges will name the area’s best.
Gulf Coast restaurants will be featured along with live music from Dikki Du and the Zydeco Krewe and children’s activities.
The Best Bloody Marys at The Beach competition is back, too. Sponsored by Bombora Vodka, taste some of the finest bars’ and restaurants’ Bloody Marys on the coast and you get to be the judge!
Event will happen rain or shine.
Rates start at just $89 per night (use code GUMBO). Rates and package valid for event weekend only. Package includes admission to Saturday’s Main Event. Based on availability and valid for select accommodations throughout the resort.

I have my ticket, now what?
You are in for a fun day. Upon entering the outdoor festival, you will receive a wristband and Taster’s Guide. Tents will be placed throughout the Village featuring restaurants. Each tent will have disposable sample cups and spoons for gumbo. Roam from tent to tent, make notes and vote for People’s Choice.
What if I don’t want to buy a ticket?
The Village of Baytowne Wharf is always open to the public. Those participating in the tasting will receive wristbands to distinguish from other guests.
