Bruce Collier (Just the Liquor Talking) is a native of Dayton, Ohio, with degrees in theater and law. He has been writing for Beachcomber since 2002, reviewing restaurants, movies, books, music, spirits and wine. Bruce just celebrated his 10th year as editor of the DeFuniak Herald – Beach Breeze, the weekly newspaper he has written for since 2003.
Bruce is also an actor and playwright whose work has been staged at regional theatres in Ohio, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, in New York, and locally at the Seaside Repertory Theatre and Emerald Coast Theatre Company. His one-man show, Winston Churchill: Through the Storm, sold out at this year’s Northwest Florida Theatre Festival and will return to the local stage in January.

Dr. David C. Simmons (Movie Reviews) is a professor of Film Studies and Humanities at Northwest Florida State College. He received his Ph.D. in Humanities and Film Studies from Florida State University in 2005. He is also the faculty advisor of the NWFSC Film Club and the NWFSC Gay-Straight Alliance.
David is currently writing several books, including two on nonviolence. In his spare time, he enjoys watching films, conducting choirs, singing with the Northwest Florida Symphony Chorale, and being an advocate for social justice.
Seagrove Beach resident Nikki Hedrick (Gallagher) is a photographer and longtime Beachcomber contributor. She is the co-owner of 850 Music and Entertainment, and wears a few other hats, too. Nikki is currently up to her ears in the 2019 Kite Film Fest, happening in Destin Saturday, Nov. 9.
