The Complete Whiskey Course
Robin Robinson decided to write a book on whiskey when world famous whiskey writer Dave Broom pointed out that Robinson’s might be the only whiskey book written by someone who’d actually sold the stuff. A former brand ambassador, Robinson is currently a sales/marketing consultant and educator. This book offers a 10-lesson approach to acquiring and perfecting one’s whiskey I.Q. There’s a history of whiskey, the most understandable description of distilling I’ve ever read, and a country-by-country rundown of world whiskey, including suggested tastings. Nothing for snobs or folklorists, just plenty of straight skinny, lots of pretty photos and useful charts.

Children separated from their parents and held captive, conspiracy theories and more in what feels like just the right novel for just the right time. Mr. King’s imagination and storytelling panache are as sharp as they’ve ever been. For commuters, the Audible edition is a must, with a terrific performance by Santino Fontana.
