Relive the Summer of Love with EC Theatre Company July 12

Peace. Love. Music. Tune into the music of the ‘60s and take a musical journey with Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC).

On Friday, July 12, at 7:30 PM, ECTC converts its performance space at 560 Grand Boulevard in Miramar Beach into a psychedelic music hall for a special one-night-only performance of ’67 The Summer of Love Show starring New York-based entertainment duo Jordan Wolfe and Michelle Dowdy.

Some say 1967 was the greatest year ever for music. They called it “The Summer of Love.” Now, Jordan and Michelle lovingly recreate the iconic songs that exploded across the airwaves that incredible summer. This energetic tribute will pay homage to the Beatles, Janis, Hendrix and many more.

“They rock, they belt, they harmonize, and breathe new life into the songs no one will ever forget,” says ECTC producing artistic director Nathanael Fisher. “If you love classic rock music, this is one special summer evening you will not want to miss.”

Ms. Dowdy is a MAC Award winner and a nightlife favorite who first took New York by storm as Tracy Turnblad in the Broadway production of Hairspray, racking up over 400 performances. She has gone on to play the role internationally and with Dallas Theatre Center.

She also co-conceived and starred in the West Coast premiere of the circus/burlesque musical extravaganza The Girlie Show. Her acclaimed 2014 solo album A Brass Act is available on Spotify, Apple Music, etc.

Mr. Wolfe is an actor-singer as well as a composer and arranger. His New York credits include lead roles at New York Classical Theatre, Musicals Tonight, Theatre for a New City, Prospect Theatre, The Duke Theatre on 42nd, Theater Row and NYMF.

He was recently in the original Off-Broadway casts of two acclaimed new musicals, Neurosis and Night of the Living Dead: The Musical, which he also wrote. Wolfe has appeared on stage at more than 15 regional theaters, and his TV credits include Law & Order and PBS’ S.P.L.A.S.H.

Tickets are $40 per person. Proceeds will benefit ECTC’s $125,000 capital campaign. Purchase tickets online at or call the box office at 850-684-0323.
