Bands of 30A was established in 2017 with a benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief. The organization brings the talented musicians of our area together to raise monetary help and awareness to charities that need support. To date, their events have raised over $80,000 for deserving beneficiaries.
“Our desire is to create fun, family-friendly concert events,” says Bands of 30A secretary and 30A Event Planning owner Crystal Smith. “The success of Bands of 30A has blessed our hearts. We are happy we are able to contribute to the community and meet a need.”
The April 14 event will benefit The Sonder Project, a charity organization that not only had a huge impact on Hurricane Michael relief efforts, but also aids communities internationally.
Local and regional bands will be performing at the top of each hour, including Transit Souls featuring Melissa Joiner, Mari Gleason featuring Matt Miller, Bryan Kennedy and Forrest Williams, Casey Kearney Band, Bay High School Million Dollar Band, The Wildlife Specials, Boukou Groove, and Luke Langford Band.
The Bay High Million Dollar Band was a recipient of $10,000 from Bands of 30A’s October 2018 Hurricane Michael relief concert after their band room, instruments and practice facility were destroyed. They will be performing and updating on the progress they have made since the storm and how they have used the contributed funds.
Shofar Stage Productions will once again be providing the quality sound.
The event is FREE to attend, but concertgoers are asked to make a $10 donation for full day access to the concert. Shunk Gulley will have plated meals for sale, and Grayton Beer Company and Oyster City Brewery will be on site providing choice local brews. Baytowne Provisions will be pouring the wine.
Cultivate Community Gardens will have an interactive kids corner available. Youngsters can make their own bean tambourines and mosaics out of seed, beans and other natural materials.

In addition to monetary donations, guests are encouraged to stop by the OneBlood bus to donate blood. Donations of all blood types are needed. Healthy people who are at least 16 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds can donate. Photo identification is required.

The Gulley Amphitheater at Gulf Place is located on Spires Lane in Santa Rosa Beach. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.
