Pet of the Issue – Laika

Submitted by Karla Quast

Karla and her family—Tyndall Air Force Base residents displaced by Hurricane Michael, currently living in Inlet Beach—adopted Laika in 2015 “and she’s been my son’s best friend ever since.”

Laika is a… well, explains Karla, “She’s a rescue, so we’re not sure. We’ve asked several vets, and they guess a Lab-Boxer mix.” Laika loves to go on walks, cuddle, and play with her favorite raccoon squeaky toy.
Our Pet of the Issue also enjoys yoga and ab workouts because “everyone is on the floor and she can give us kisses,” says Karla.

Laika loves to fish with her dad, run with Mom and play pretend with Michael. She’s also a frequent swimmer and dolphin-spotting enthusiast. Say, when does Laika sleep?!
