Pet of the Issue – Teddy

Submitted by Joe Moretti

Teddy, a six-year-old Pomeranian (with a mix of “something else,” says Mr. Moretti), was rescued from a hoarder’s house in Alabama. Joe and Delinda acquired Teddy at seven months. They lived in New York City, then Teddy and Delinda moved to Santa Rosa Beach a couple months ago.

Teddy loves Florida, especially the beach. “But no more beach for him,” Joe says. “When I came to visit this past week, we ended up taking him to the emergency hospital because he had ingested sand…his stomach was filled with sand from eating something on the beach.

“But after staying overnight and flushing out his system, he’s back to normal. We certainly found out sand is bad for dogs, especially someone like Teddy who loves to play in it.”

Teddy is a major charmer, drawing crowds wherever he goes. “He is a rock star,” Joe says. “He loves to run fast and dig…and boy, can he dig. We love our four-legged fur baby so much!”
