Meet the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center’s New Board Member

Janet Parker, the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center’s (ECCAC) newest board member, retired this year as an executive vice‑president from Regions Bank in Birmingham, Alabama, where she had strategic HR oversight in numerous corporate areas.

Holding a bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama, Ms. Parker is a graduate of the American Banking Institution’s Graduate Human Resources School. She also has a Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification.

Originally from Birmingham, Ms. Parker moved to Watersound with her husband Gary, a retired attorney and mortgage banker, and their three grown children.

“I have a passion for children,” Ms. Parker says. “When I took the tour of ECCAC’s center in Niceville, I became so excited, and we determined the areas (where) I could be of the greatest assistance, particularly in the HR realm.”
