To benefit the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (ECCAC), the Third Annual Wiggin’ Out For A Cause event will take place at Grand Boulevard in the Emerald Coast Theatre space Thursday, Sept. 7, from 6 to 10 p.m.
This year, in addition to event founding partner Velia Lala being named Master Stylist co‑host, Donna Macdonald will be joining Lala as a Master Stylist co‑host.
Lala, who donates the wigs each year, is the owner‑artist of Shalimar‑based Velia Lala Art & Design. She has an extensive community background in the area. Recently joining ECCAC’s board of directors, Lala has also co‑chaired Sinfonia Gulf Coast’s Wine, Women & Shoes for the past three years. She also donates her artwork to local charities.
Macdonald is also an avid supporter of the community. She and her husband Ed, who is also an ECCAC board member, moved to Santa Rosa Beach from Atlanta in 2010. An active Jaycee member in Georgia (including serving two terms as president), Macdonald has taken the same path. In addition to supporting local charities, she has participated in several dance performances for charity in conjunction with Thi Bod Fitness.
Wiggin’ Out For A Cause will feature an ‘80s psychedelic rock ‘n roll theme, with the Master Stylist co‑hosts overseeing the entertaining ladies’ night out filled with wine, food, fun, live DJ and more. Upon arriving, ladies will receive a mystery swag bag with a wig inside.
The ladies will then be whisked away into the style lounge to transform their looks with hair and makeup touches up by Avantgarde Salon. Ladies will go on to mix, mingle and partake in many activities throughout the evening, such as karaoke, dancing, photo booth and more. There will be a silent auction, and ladies will be waited on by an outstanding group of wine‑pouring men.
Guests are encouraged to pre‑purchase tickets for $75 each—tickets at the door are $100 per person. VIP tickets (including designer wig) are $125 if pre‑purchased, $150 at the door.
Proceeds benefit the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center. Call 850‑833‑9237, ext. 283, or purchase online at www.eccac.org.
