Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) opens its doors to launch the fifth anniversary season of its Theatre Education Program with a “Breakfast and Bonding” open house celebration Saturday, Aug. 12, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
At 10:30, ECTC will announce its annual Educational Program Awards.
The event will be held in ECTC’s performing arts space, located upstairs at 560 Grand Boulevard in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin in Miramar Beach.
The event is FREE and open to the public. Donations provided will benefit the Paul Londe Education and Scholarship fund.
The open house event enables guests to meet ECTC’s Theatre Education staff and learn details of ECTC’s upcoming fifth anniversary season. There will be opportunities to purchase ECTC swag and chances to enter a drawing to win a Trek bicycle.
“We invite everyone on the Emerald Coast to come join us for breakfast,” says ECTC producing artistic director Nathanael Fisher. “This is a great opportunity to mix and mingle with our talented Educational Staff, ask questions of us and learn more about our Theatre Education programs and offerings planned for the 2017-2018 school year, while enjoying delicious food and great company.”
Following the open house breakfast, ECTC will bestow its annual ECTC Educational Program Awards to thespians who participated in ECTC’s Fall 2016, Spring 2017 and Summer 2017 programs. Recognition will be given to five, 10 and 15 show participants. Other honors awarded will be the ECTC Community Award and Most Dedicated Actor Awards.
“This awards ceremony is our turn to honor and thank the dedicated young people who pour their hearts and souls into each and every performance,” says Fisher. “I am humbled and inspired by all that these kids accomplish each season, and this is our way of letting them know just how much we admire and appreciate them.”
