Deer Season in Kentucky

There are numerous things that need to be done before the fall deer season. Every year, you must prepare by setting up new stands, putting up and checking cameras, shooting your bow and/or sighting in your gun. The list goes on.

If you like to travel to other states and hunt, this is also a prime time to book your deer hunt. That involves sending in your deposit, booking your flight or getting travel arrangements in line.

As a hunter, my personal goal is to hunt in a different state each year. It allows me to grow as a hunter and introduces me to new environments. This week we are going to highlight an outfitter in Western Kentucky. At an only eight-hour drive from Destin, it is a convenient and great spot to book your hunt. It’s also an hour-and-a-half from Nashville if you’d rather fly.

They offer both deer and turkey hunting in the best county in the state. In the past few years, the county has produced 200-plus-inch free-range deer. This is because of the almost perfect mixture of water sources, agriculture and thickly covered woods. These guys ensure that the deer herd is well fed and have very low pressure.

Whether you’re hunting early season bow in September or rifle season in November, you will be taken care of on a personal level.
