Neslihan Celik‑George—featured on this issue’s cover—graduated from the University of Canakkale in Turkey, where she studied fine arts and education. Neslihan finished the Masters in Art Education program at the University of Florida.
She worked as art teacher in several public schools and art education companies in Turkey and the United States. Teaching young children is her passion and is the main reason why she decided to continue her studies.
Since moving to the United States, Neslihan has become active in her local art community. She is currently teaching 2D art, digital art and design, and photography in a public middle and high school.
The combination of her passion for photography, mastery of digital imaging techniques and her degree in fine art makes her digital artwork surreal, inventive and magical.
Neslihan’s images are personal representations of her dream world—they are abstract enough to allow individual interpretation. She wants to engage the viewer with the image, enabling them to leave the reality and explore her thoughts and dreams.
