So many memories were made at HarborWalk Village during the 4th Annual Beachcomber Music Awards at HarborWalk Village, we couldn’t resist sharing more of them! Huge thanks to Best Horn Player honoree Al Alvarado for most of these—apparently, he’s great at everything….
Blue Lew’s Groove took the stage at 5 p.m., and the crowd got on their feet to dance along to the band’s rocking sound. But that wasn’t the only live entertainment for the night. During the awards ceremony, each of the five nominees for Best Singer-Songwriter performed an original song.
BEST BAND Blue Lew’s Groove Boukou Groove Dread Clampitt. The 2008 Best Band winners didn’t make it to the ceremony due to a commitment at Seaside, but after the show a youngster bearing an uncanny resemblance to Dread’s Balder Saunders accepted the trophy on the band’s behalf.
The Fourth Beachcomber Music Awards will be held at HarborWalk Village starting at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19. The ballot appears in this issue, and the winners will be announced at a ceremony that promises an abundance of live performances and good times.
