Artist Linda Agrippe has lived in the Niceville area for the past nine years. She and her husband uprooted in 1996, packing their belongings and relocating to the sandy white beaches of Destin.
She is originally from the beautiful mountains of West Virginia, where she was a marketing representative, her focus being on toys for all ages. Agrippe always loved to paint, and knew within her spirit that she had to be with “like-kind”… those who had passion and could understand her soul. She realized she would have to leave her birthplace behind to nurture her love of painting.
Agrippe shares her life with her husband of 32 years and has two children and three grandchildren. Another grandchild is expected to arrive in June.
This issue’s cover artist says she finds art within her mind, “always seeing, always thinking of how it can work on canvas, or anything for that matter.” Agrippe works with acrylics, watercolor, mixed media and any items that come to mind.
Agrippe enjoys music—“any kind of music”—and painting with music is a must for her. You can find her on the beaches in the summertime—she says the sound of the waves can quickly quiet her soul when she feels “a war building from deep within.”
