Village of Baytowne Wharf Wednesday Night Concert Series, 4.24.13

In the Beachcomber Music Award nominated tribute to Aykroyd and Belushi, Terry Akens takes on the role of Jake and Teddy Lehmann plays Elwood.

“Messin' with the Kid” (Junior Wells). “Yo, would you?” quips Elwood.

“(I Got Everything I Need) Almost” (Downchild Blues Band). “It was an honor to hang with Donnie Walsh,” says Jake, referencing Walsh’s pivotal role in the origin of the Blues Brothers.

“Who's Making Love” (Johnnie Taylor). “Life in the trailer park, not right but fun,” explains Jake.

“From the Bottom” (Sonny Boy Williamson II). As Elwood puts it, “A mans got to start somewhere..”.

“Expressway to Your Heart” (The Soul Survivors)

“Shake a Tail Feather” (The Five Oy-Tones). “And (shake) whatever else you got...,” says Elwood.

“Excusez Moi Mon Cherie” (Larry Hanes)

“Flip, Flop and Fly” (Big Joe Turner)

“'B' Movie Box Car Blues” (Delbert McClinton)

“Rawhide” (Dimitri Tiomkin): “Corral in the benjamins and comin’ up empty,” jests Jake.

“Going Back to Miami”  (Wayne Cochran). “Did we ever leave?” asks Elwood.
