Sauce Boss Plays and Cooks, Call to Restaurants

Local restaurants will fire up their grills for a good time and a good cause at the annual Blues, Brews & BBQ on Saturday, Nov. 12 at HarborWalk Village.

The Florida Restaurant and Lodging Associa tion’s (FRLA) Northwest Florida chapter will host a craft beer tasting and creative BBQ competition. Wristbands will be sold for $20 for guests to sample the sumptuous BBQ and craft beers, with all proceeds benefiting FRLA’s Prostart educational program, sup porting the next generation of hospitality professionals.

Don’t miss the amazing Bill Wharton, aka The Sauce Boss, performing on the main stage. Since 1990, the Sauce Boss has cooked fresh gumbo on stage for his audiences—all for FREE—while simultaneously playing his

irresistible brand of swampy blues. A Sauce Boss event transcends a musical performance. It’s a soul-shouting picnic of rock ‘n roll brotherhood. And at the end of the show, everyone eats!

If you would like to be a participating restaurant in the event, please email Gayle at gvann@harborwalkdestin.com, or call (850) 5728274.

HarborWalk Village has been named Best Place to be Seen and Best Place to Watch a Sunset by readers of Emerald Coast magazine; Coolest Place to Take the Kids by On the Coast; and Best Place to Propose by the Northwest Florida Daily News.
