The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island welcomes the newest addition to Fort Walton Beach, The Lobster Tail. The restaurant will celebrate its grand opening to the public March 1, and welcomes the community to dive in on All Things Lobster.
Lobster Tail will offer casual dining with a variety of lobster and seafood dishes for reasonable prices in a modern environment. Chef Kevin Wynn, a veteran chef at the Boardwalk, has put together a menu with a unique twist on lobster.
“Look for a refined approach to classic lobster and seafood dishes, and some local favorites,” says Mr. Wynn. “Lobster Tail brings the Nantucket island magic and Caribbean island vibe to Okaloosa Island... From buttery lobster rolls, to lobster mac and cheese, to delicious fried chicken. It’s where lobster meets casual dining, and we’re super excited about it.”
Lobster Tail will be open for dinner daily at 4 p.m. and Sunday Brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dishes include fried lobster bites, lobster egg rolls, lobster flatbread, lobster rolls, lobster tacos, Caribbean stuffed lobster, lobster mac and cheese, local Gulf seafood such as shrimp and grouper, and items to please land-eaters such as sweet tea-brined fried chicken.
Lobster Tail will offer happy hour and daily specials throughout the restaurant and outside patio. “We’re working on a creative craft cocktail list that’s perfect for the beach front and bringing the Island feels to our little seafood joint," says Mr. Wynn.
The new restaurant has been renovated to create a warm and modern island-vibe, with a white-marble bar-top, distressed Kelly-blue stools, and vintage lobster buoys brought in from Key West.
