Suzanne LeLoup-West is a self taught artist and has worked in many mediums to include watercolor, pen and ink, mixed media and acrylic. She has a very eclectic, impressionistic style and is continually trying new mediums and techniques.
Her “Blooms of Imagination” and “Tea Bag Treasures” series will be featured at the Walton County Coastal Branch Library in February. A portion of all sales will be donated to the Friends of the Library.
Ms. LeLoup-West paints in her home studio and teaches in her cottage art studio in Ponce De Leon. She has taught acrylic painting at Northwest Florida State College’s South
Walton Center and collage classes at NWFSC’s Chautauqua Center in DeFuniak Springs. A desire for continued growth in her art has been accomplished through various classes and workshops.
“I believe that art feeds your soul and that an artist continues to grow and mature with every painting,” Ms. LeLoup-West says. “As I paint and create, my hope is to inspire positive emotion in the viewer. When the viewer tells me my paintings are joyful, I feel I have accomplished my goal.
“Art and creativity are a part of me, and I find time every day to paint if only for 30 minutes.”
