Downtown Art Walk in Fort Walton Beach to be held Sept. 19. Artists and vendors are encouraged to apply at

Friends of the Destin Dog Park are asking local artists to design a t-shirt for the Wag-n-Walk 5K scheduled for Nov. 15. The winning entry will receive a $50 prize, and entries will be posted on the Friends’ Facebook page for public voting. Email entries to, or drop them off at Destin City Hall. Deadline for submissions is Sept. 5.

Full Circle Gallery’s “Art for Art’s Sake” Community Art Exhibition. Submission dates are Sept. 5-13. The event highlights local talent and provides an opportunity for up and coming artists to reach a wider audience. First place winner will be featured at the gallery for a solo exhibition in 2015. The 31st Northwest Florida Tri-County Fair Fine Arts Show, to be held at the C.H. “Bull” Rigdon Fairgrounds and Recreation Complex in Fort Walton Beach. Open to all artists in any media. Turn-in dates are Friday, Sept. 26, noon-5 p.m.; and Saturday, Sept. 27, 9 a.m.-noon. The 23rd Southeast Regional Juried Fine Arts Exhibition, hosted by Northwest Florida State College and sponsored by the Arts and Design Society. JPEG images due by midnight, Nov. 1. The exhibition runs Jan. 12-Feb. 13, 2015. Entry fee is $40 ($35 for ADSO members, limit of three entries).
