March 3 - An Afternoon with Merle Temple at Destin Library

The Destin Library hosts "An Afternoon with Merle Temple" Friday, March 3, ain the library's Calhoun Room. The event is FREE and open to the public.

Temple is a native of Tupelo, Mississippi. He received a BPA and Master's of Criminal Justice from Ole Miss.

Temple came of age in the south in the wake of Elvis Presley, the Civil Rights Movement, and the Vietnam War. He was recruited as an agent in the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics as a young man, and his fiction is based on his experiences there.

Temple is the author of A Ghostly Shade of Pale. His most recent novel, Deputy: Once Upon a Time in Mississippi, was published in January.
