Owned and operated by SunQuest Cruises, the SunVenture I—a water lover’s 45-foot sporty catamaran complete with renowned Guy Harvey artwork throughout the vessel—is officially in service.
“SunVenture I cruises are the only family boat excursions offered east of the Destin Harbor that conveniently depart from the Baytowne Marina in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort,” says SunQuest Cruises general manager James Murray Jr.
“Our excursion offerings are narrated eco dolphin/sunset cruises exploring the beautiful Choctawhatchee Bay and its sea life, Crab Island trips, and private cruises for parties of up to 49 guests.”
The eco dolphin/sunset narrated cruises let guests experience the unparalleled Emerald Coast waters and sea life, such as dolphins, stingrays and birds. The cruises also explore the area’s natural beauty and history, including shipwrecks. These two-hour cruises are offered at 6 p.m. four to five times a week for $30/adults, $18/children 4-15 years old, and FREE for children under the age of 3.
For the most authentic water experience and amazing panoramic views in Destin, Crab Island— located near the Destin Bridge—is a must. Rated as a top thing to do in Destin, Crab Island allows you to jump into the waist deep emerald green waters, mingle with friends, relax and play. These five-hour Crab Island cruises are offered every Sunday at 11 a.m. for $45/adults, $25/children 4-15 years old, and FREE for children under the age of 3.
Private parties for up to 49 guests for any occasion (birthdays, family reunions, corporate events, bachelor/bachelorette parties, etc.) are available, too. The SunVenture I’s open deck arrangement (complete with state-of-the-art sound system) is great for relaxing in the sun or dancing under the stars.
It’s almost like having your own party boat, and you can leave the driving to experienced Capt. Rick, a seasoned boating veteran who knows the Emerald Coast waters like the back of his hand.
Group rates are available for parties of 15 or more adults. For more info, schedules and reservations, click here or call (850) 424-6465.
