Beachcomberland Artist Launches Picture Book for Kids of All Ages

Tails of Imagination - Ordinary Pets, Extraordinary Adventures is a picture book for children by Miramar Beach resident (and two-time Beachcomber cover artist) Robin Wiesneth. The book combines Wiesneth’s whimsical art and rhyming, cheerful prose to tell the story of a group of shelter pets who dream about exciting adventures while they wait patiently to find a forever home.

The book will initially be available at Hidden Lantern Bookstore in Rosemary Beach, Sawyer Art in Destin, and Retail Therapy in Santa Rosa Beach. Book signings and events are scheduled at each location during the month of April. The Sawyer Art event is scheduled for Saturday, April 12. from 3 to 5 p.m.

Tails of Imagination has been praised by parents and teachers as “a great children’s storybook for kids of all ages. Whether being read to the smallest of children by their parents while they enjoy the colorful pictures or learning to read on their own, this is a must-have book.”

Beachcomber editor Chris Manson calls it “a wonderful story for the pet lover and dreamer in us all.”

Wiesneth spends a lot of time painting animals and lending her artistic talents and efforts to fundraising activities to help animal shelters and rescue groups in the area. Turning her whimsical art into children’s picture books about shelter pets gives her yet another way to promote and encourage foster and adoption.

She’s looking forward to completing the next book in the series that will take place at a dog park and feature all new characters having crazy adventures.
