The Beachcomber Fishing Report

Published on

By Phillip Houston of The Dawn Patrol

As the weather becomes more fall-like, bay fishing is heating up.

Flounder are moving in, and fishing with small live minnows is always your best bet. Topwater action for trout and reds is awesome.

Artificial lures and swim baits are great to use—however, live baits are always your best bet.

In the Gulf, nearshore fishing has still been hot. We are catching king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, and bonita, slow-trolling live baits.

With the cooler temps on the way, we should start seeing blackfin tuna become more consistent. Bottom fishing is still good.

And we just wrapped up another amazing Destin Fishing Rodeo.
