Mondays and Wednesdays. Clay and Pottery Open Studio, 9 AM-noon both days and 6:30-9 PM Mondays. Beginners welcome. Cost for morning classes with Pat Basque and Sherry Cooler is $15 ($12 for ADSO members). Cost for Monday evening class with Marcy Eady is $15 ($12 for ADSO members). Materials and firing included.
Tuesdays. Art for Children Ages 6-12, 4-5:30 PM. Marcy Eady teaches about the masters and their styles using principles of basic drawing, painting and sculpture. Media vary each week. Cost per month is $70 ($60 for ADSO members). All supplies included.
Tuesdays. Oil Painting with Dale Gauvin, 9 AM-1 PM. Learn the Chiaroscuro technique favored by the old masters. Cost is $90 ($80 for ADSO members).
Tuesdays. Open Studio, 7-9:30 PM. Bring your own supplies (no pottery) and work with other Beachcomberland artists. Cost is $12 ($10 for ADSO members). Call Marcy at 850-585-4967 by 5:30 p.m. to ensure access.
Dec. 4 and 18. Pottery with Purpose Workshops with Charlotte Snyder, 5:30-7:30 PM.
Cost for each session is $20 ($17 for ADSO members). Each class features a new project—a textured tripod mug Dec. 4 and a coil bread bowl Dec. 18. Classes are geared toward teaching basic pottery skills for beginners, but more advanced students will have fun brushing up on their skills, too.

THE SHARD SHOP in the Shops of Grayton, Grayton Beach. ShardWorx is a new way of making art with glass and resin on a painted surface. Open Mon.-Sat., 9:15 AM-4 PM. Classes daily. Nov. 13. Clock Making Class, 6:30-8:30 PM. Traditional and “funky shaped” designs will be pre cut for clock bases, and all clock parts will be provided. Class starts at $95, and advance registration is required.
Nov. 18. Glitzy Pours, 6:30-8:30 PM. One of Velia’s most attended classes, in which she demonstrates several different methods or art resin pouring. Then students will have the opportunity to create their own masterpieces using one of those methods. Class starts at $95.
