The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
This Netflix original is from the same universe as Riverdale, and like its sister show, gets its characters from Archie Comics. It delves into the life of Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka), a half-witch who, on her sixteenth birthday, has to decide between the real world she loves and the realm of the dark lord that she craves.
The show has many twists and turns that will keep you watching until the end. It shows the distinct yet alluring life of witches and warlocks compared to the normal, albeit interesting, life of mortals that Sabrina toggles between. Shipka does a fantastic job of showing the struggles of being torn between two worlds and how to stay true to yourself despite being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Despite darker tendencies and imagery, it’s worth the watch.
