A week of classes ending with an Art Party Friday, Nov. 9, 6-8 PM. During the week, 18 two-hour classes will be offered as a sampler of what’s available at the Art Center. The first class is $25; subsequent classes are $20, all supplies included. Registration and payment for classes due in advance. No expertise required—projects will be completed in the class.

This month’s spotlight shines on Pat Farwell, who divides her time between Miramar Beach and Minnesota. Ms. Farwell took up the very challenging art of watercolor painting after retiring from an engineering career, and she has won local and national awards.

Ms. Balance is a Bay County artist who was affected by Hurricane Michael. Visitors are encouraged to purchase art and make a donation to the nonprofit Sunshine Art Center in Panama City Beach. More at beachartgroup.com.
THROUGH JAN. 27, 2019. FALL/WINTER ROTATION AT THE FOSTER GALLERY, GRAND BOULEVARD AT SANDESTIN
Enjoy the dazzling art of Melody Bogle, Donnelle Clark, Skip Deems, Joyful Enriquez, Hayley Green, Tim Harbeson, Linda Kernick, Rosalyn O’Grady, Mary Redmann, Kathleen Schumacher, Beachcomber veteran Shelly Swanger, Jenna Varney and Krista Vind. All are members of the Cultural Arts Alliance, and each will offer work for sale.
Reception scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 14, 5-7 PM. The Foster Gallery is located at 585 Grand Boulevard, Suite N102, next to Fusion Art Glass.
NOV. 10. MONTHLY ARTIST GALLERY DAY AT HH ARTS, FORT WALTON BEACH
The last big fiesta of 2018 with artist demonstrations, gift items for sale, refreshments and more. From 10 AM-3 PM. The gallery is located at 100 Beal Parkway SW, and you really can’t miss it.
OPENS NOV. 13. ADSO’S “LANDMARKS OF THE EMERALD COAST” SHOW AT THE ART CENTER GALLERY, FORT WALTON BEACH
Through Dec. 14, ADSO features art depicting landmarks featured along the Emerald Coast. Reception Friday, Nov. 16, 6-8 PM, which includes a “Battle of the Brushes” competition.
NOV. 14. SHOOT CLUB MEETING AT THE ART CENTER GALLERY, FORT WALTON BEACH
Photographers are invited to meet at 6 PM to capture fall and discuss “painting the dark with light.” Bring your camera, of course.
NOV. 26. CRAFTS & DRAFS AT DEWEY DESTIN’S HARBORSIDE RESTAURANT, DESTIN
Make holiday signs with Becca Russell of Soulfish Art at 6 PM. Also, enjoy food, drinks and happy hour prices throughout the event. Tickets are $45 each and include all art supplies, light bites and a complimentary beer or wine. Purchase your tickets in advance at the 1835 Porch Bar (5-9 PM) or the restaurant’s hostess stand (11 AM-9 PM). Sign up by Nov. 21 please.
NOV. 28. ADSO MONTHLY LUNCHEON AT THE ART CENTER GALLERY, FORT WALTON BEACH
Award-winning artists Wally Ratcliffe and Pat Z. Roberts discuss and demonstrate the technique of acrylic pours, a method developed to create stunning abstract art.
