Published on

Atlanta-based “Earthy Pop Soul” vocalist and guitarist Alex Guthrie performs with his band Thursday, Aug. 23, at 7 PM at the Warehouse 360 Music Hall in Santa Rosa Beach.

Mr. Guthrie is turning heads across the country with his creative musical synergy of ‘70s southern blues bands infused with R&B, soul, folk and rock. He has been featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and appeared in an American Family Insurance commercial alongside singer Jennifer Hudson. The 23-year-old musician also performed at the 30A Songwriters Festival and was named 2015 Georgia Americana Artist of the Year.

Proceeds from Mr. Guthrie’s concert will benefit the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (ECCAC). Tickets are $20 and up and can be purchased at the door, online at warehouse360music.com, or by phone at 850-687-0662.

ECCAC’s mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect, protect children in Okaloosa and Walton Counties and restore the lives and futures of these impacted children. Their child-friendly centers house a multidisciplinary team of child protection personnel, prosecutors, law enforcement, DCF, therapists, ECCAC staff and volunteers. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization has provided services to over 12,000 children in the past 17 years.
