Join LuLu’s for the celebration of their third year in Destin at their Third Anniversary Bay Bash Saturday, May 26, from noon to 7:30 p.m. LuLu’s will have a complimentary boat shuttle for larger boats who need to anchor farther out.
Revel in a family outing filled with non-stop fun, birthday cake and back-to-back live music played by great bands from atop the Crazy Sista Bay Bar along the Choctawhatchee Bay. The music begins at noon. Carolyn Wonderland is the headliner, performing from 6 to 7:30, showcasing her Texas blues vocals and guitar, along with drummer Kevin Lance and bass guitarist Bobby Perkins.
Also on the lineup—Scott Kirby, noon-1:30 p.m.; Beachcomber Music Award winners The Graytones, 1:30-3 p.m.; and LuLu’s regular Albert Simpson with his band The Contingent, 3:30-5 p.m.
Since the opening of Lucy Buffett’s LuLu’s in Destin in 2015, the restaurant continues to garner a great reputation for their family-friendly atmosphere, great food, welcoming crew members, community involvement, beautiful Choctawhatchee Bay views, and live music seven days a week.
LuLu’s white sandy beach keeps the little ones busy with its Fountain for Youth, pails, shovels, hula hoops and cornhole boards. A gift shop offers fun and fashionable souvenirs and features Lucy’s Crazy Sista brands which include clothing, Lucy’s cookbooks, Bloody Mary mix, dried seasonings, hot sauces and more.
The cuisine at LuLu’s Destin features favorites from Lucy’s cookbooks, LuLu’s Kitchen and GUMBO LOVE. Along with locally sourced fresh seafood from the Gulf of Mexico, signature dishes include gumbo, fried green tomatoes, the “Crazy Sista” spin on Cheeseburgers in Paradise (with pimento cheese, fried green tomato and bacon), and Krispy Kreme bread pudding.
Exclusive to LuLu’s is their gluten, egg, shellfish, seafood, dairy, soy and nuts allergy menu with the manager personally taking the guest’s order and following it through a separate preparation and kitchen area.
Creative chef, businesswoman, author, and the original Crazy Sista, Lucy Buffett is more than the sibling of famous troubadour Jimmy, just as her business, LuLu’s, is more than a restaurant. In addition to locations in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Destin, she will soon be opening her third LuLu’s in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
“We are so excited about having three successful years in Destin and want to spread the Gumbo Love with everyone at our Third Anniversary Bay Bash,” Lucy says. “Particularly area boaters and paddleboarders. It will be a great day to come in by boat, floats, kayaks or paddleboards to be part of the festivities.”
LuLu’s is located in Destin at the foot of the Mid-Bay Bridge next to Legendary Marina. Learn more at LuLuBuffett.com/Destin.
