Already?!? I swear I just got over my hangover from the last Beachcomber Music Awards (which was back in March), and now we’re talking about 2018.
Okay, here’s how it works. If you’re a musician, venue or fan, email the names of anyone and everyone you’d like to see on the nomination ballot in as many categories as you like. Email email@example.com by Nov. 29, and we will put every single qualified nominee on a long and time-consuming ballot that will be published online in early December.
Musicians that are interested in performing or presenting at our 10th annual event (already?!?) should contact me as well. The event will be held the first Monday in March 2018, location to be announced whenever it’s locked in.
The list of categories follows, and if you have a new one you’d like considered, fire away.

MUSICIAN OF THE YEAR. Hate to sway you, readers, but Michael J Thomas (who is currently in the Top 10 on the Billboard jazz chart) and Schatzi + the String Boffin (at this writing, on their way to fame and fortune in the NASH Next competition) should definitely be on the shortlist.

THIS JUST IN…
Congratulations to our friend Kathleen Broaderick on being named the 2018 Artist of the Year by Visit South Walton, even though it’s still 2017. Beachcomber Music Award winner Chris Alvarado—singer, songwriter, and creator of custom guitars—took honors in the mixed media category.
