Ruth’s Chris Steak House at Silver Shells Resort in Destin invites the community, loyal patrons and guests to a fundraiser for beverage manager Skot Harville. Following an outpouring of requests from guests after hearing the news of Harville’s recent hardships, the restaurant will host an event Tuesday, Sept. 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at their Courtyard Bar.
Having been a part of the Ruth’s Chris family since they opened their doors, Harville has recently been overwhelmed with illness, both personally and within his immediate family. Harville, who has an ongoing heart condition, unexpectedly lost his mother soon after discovering his wife had been diagnosed with lung cancer.
The money donated will be used to pay for medical expenses and to assist the family of three, including son Argus, with daily living expenses.
“Everyone who comes through our doors knows Skot and loves him,” says Ruth’s Chris General Manager Mike Sable. “Not only is Skot our beverage manager, but his tenure with our company is far reaching.”
The Harville family fundraiser is free to attend and open to the public. Guests are invited to stop by and meet Skot and his family, enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres, live auction by Luxury Estates Auction Company, silent auction and live music by Michael J Thomas.
Donations will be accepted throughout the night. For those who cannot attend, a GoFundMe account has been created and donations can be made at gofundme.com/hope-fight-believe. Donations may also be dropped off at Ruth’s Chris, located at 15000 Emerald Coast Parkway in Destin.
