The Emerald Coast Honor Games, a fitness competition and community atmosphere taking place at Legendary Marine in Destin this November 11, invites the community and area business representatives to participate in a 9/11 Moment of Honor Monday, Sept. 11, at 7 a.m. in the Destin Commons Patriot Circle.
As the Emerald Coast Honor Games mission surrounds raising funds to support defenders on the front line, the group has an innate reverence for those who serve our country and protect our freedom.
The event is being held in honor of the events and victims surrounding the tragic attacks of September 11, 2001. Attendees are invited to enjoy a light breakfast provided by Whole Foods from 7 to 7:30 a.m. The Moment of Honor includes guest speakers, raising of the flags, the national anthem and more, and will conclude at 8.
Attendees are encouraged to make a $10 donation towards supporting the Emerald Coast Honor Games, which in turn benefits the Okaloosa Sheriff’s Star Charities, Healing Paws for Warriors, Special Forces Association, and the Combat Control Association.
